Since summer 2006, the National Museum of the American Indian’s Indian Summer Showcase has hosted 22 concerts featuring 29 groups from more than 15 Native communities in the U.S. and Canada, and five Latin American countries. In celebration of our Fifth Anniversary, the museum joins the embassies of Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico and Peru and to present multi-day cultural festivals throughout the summer to celebrate not only the music, but the art, culture, dance, film and food of Native groups from these countries, as well as Hawai’i.
